Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two men have been charged related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A young child was among those injured in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.
This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
