Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
